Granby school library uses app to encourage reading | Local News

GRANBY, Mo. — Students at the Granby campus of the East Newton School District are now able to receive information about the library through a free messaging mobile app known as “Remind.”

The app is intended to help teachers, students and parents communicate quickly and effectively, according to its website.

Once students download the app they can select their classes and choose which groups they want to join.

“It’s just a very quick way to send information to a lot of people, and it’s safe and private,” said Cheryl Turner, Granby Elementary librarian.

Turner started using the app in September to promote library-related events and to invite special guests.
